When God has a plan he really sticks to it!

Our family has recently been reminded that we have absolutely NO control over God's plans. Kaden's initial scheduled bronchoscopy was cancelled due to a scheduled mishap at the hospital... it was then rescheduled to the following Thursday... then the "well streak" was stopped in its tracks when a fever descended on our family. Kaden was stricken with tonsillitis that brought with it its friend a 104.1 fever... soooo the bronchosopy will be rescheduled once more for sometime in March. On a lighter note... Kaden was able to defeat the evil tonsillitis on his own without medication!!! Our super hero has found a new super power.... Thanks for all of your thoughts and prayers!!

Our NEW direction... or so the pulmonologist says...

Well the appointment went well, I was able to get concerns off my chest and then the doctor decided to go back to the drawing board. We are preparing for a bronchoscopy that will be performed on February the 13th (friday the 13th... thank God we aren't superstitious) . It should allow the pulmonologist to confirm perfectly developed lungs, if there is any aspiration occuring, and any other abnormalities. This test requires another trip down anesthesia way, but it is a necessary evil. We have been antibiotic free for 6 days... a victory in our eyes... Keep those prayers coming. I will try to be more prompt in updates... this blog thing is stressful ;).

WELCOME!

Our family has decided to join the crowd and start blogging... we have embarked on a wonderful journey with our son Kaden. Each day brings new challenges and adventures. We never know what God and Kaden have planned. As many of you already know, Kaden has been fighting to stay healthy since he was four months old. He is now 18 months old and amazing us continously.

Kaden currently sees a combination of 5 doctors... all hunting for an answer to why our little man gets sick so often. We have "ruled out" (never a certainty that things are really ruled out) Cystic Fibrosis and Primary Ciliary Diskensia. He has had tubes placed in both ears, sinus irrigation, his adnoids removed, a lung abscess drained and been hospitalized three times. We hope that age brings a stronger immune system and more health.

We thank God for all of our blessings and look forward to keeping everyone posted on each new chapter....
