CONGRATS LIETZ FAMILY!

CONGRATS TO THE THREE OF YOU!!!

You all are so blessed to have eachother... including baby lietz!!!

You all are always in our prayers!!!

The Vincents

SO much to be thankful for...

So much has happened since our last post...

Kaden had a bronchoscopy that revealed food particles in his lungs. This usually indicates reflux or aspiration. We had our second upper GI which was normal and our second MBS study which revealed a fully functional and perfect swallow. So AGAIN... no answers!

Kaden had been doing VERY well... NO ANTIBIOTICS for almost 3 months... and then the illness returned... he found a NASTY middle ear infection and an even NASTIER outer ear infection... YUCKO! In a matter of two weeks we were seen in doctors offices 6 days!!! That is exaxtly our life. The infectious disease specialist is consulting with immunology to come up with specific tests to run and find this monster that is haunting our little man. We see the pulmonologist again this Friday and who knows what that will bring. There are so many more details that I am excluding but I have said this story so many times that I am at a lose for words... If anyone has questions you may shot an email.

KADEN is TWO!!!! The party was wonderful despite the doctors attempts to admit him to the hospital the day before... they are always trying to ruin the fun. I will post pics and such from the shinanigans sooon. GOD BLESS!

MAY BLESSING CONTINUE TO FIND EACH YOU!!!!

CATCHING UP!

So I realize that I am not so great at keeping our blog current. I promise to attempt to improve in the future. Kaden is doing "well." He currently has another ear infection and it appears (to the pediatrician) that his right ear tube is falling out. We have appointments with the ENT and the pulmonologist later this week, so there will be another post to let everyone know what we have learned. Hopefully, that post will be full on insight and planning.

Easter was wonderful. We had so much fun with Kaden. He is such a blessing, keeping everyday bright and full of laughter. I am so amazed by him everyday. Our vacation was absolutely fabulous despite the absence from Kaden. It was definitely a must for mommy and daddy.

Hope everyone is well. You are all in our prayers and our hearts!

When God has a plan he really sticks to it!

Our family has recently been reminded that we have absolutely NO control over God's plans. Kaden's initial scheduled bronchoscopy was cancelled due to a scheduled mishap at the hospital... it was then rescheduled to the following Thursday... then the "well streak" was stopped in its tracks when a fever descended on our family. Kaden was stricken with tonsillitis that brought with it its friend a 104.1 fever... soooo the bronchosopy will be rescheduled once more for sometime in March. On a lighter note... Kaden was able to defeat the evil tonsillitis on his own without medication!!! Our super hero has found a new super power.... Thanks for all of your thoughts and prayers!!

Our NEW direction... or so the pulmonologist says...

Well the appointment went well, I was able to get concerns off my chest and then the doctor decided to go back to the drawing board. We are preparing for a bronchoscopy that will be performed on February the 13th (friday the 13th... thank God we aren't superstitious) . It should allow the pulmonologist to confirm perfectly developed lungs, if there is any aspiration occuring, and any other abnormalities. This test requires another trip down anesthesia way, but it is a necessary evil. We have been antibiotic free for 6 days... a victory in our eyes... Keep those prayers coming. I will try to be more prompt in updates... this blog thing is stressful ;).

WELCOME!

Our family has decided to join the crowd and start blogging... we have embarked on a wonderful journey with our son Kaden. Each day brings new challenges and adventures. We never know what God and Kaden have planned. As many of you already know, Kaden has been fighting to stay healthy since he was four months old. He is now 18 months old and amazing us continously.

Kaden currently sees a combination of 5 doctors... all hunting for an answer to why our little man gets sick so often. We have "ruled out" (never a certainty that things are really ruled out) Cystic Fibrosis and Primary Ciliary Diskensia. He has had tubes placed in both ears, sinus irrigation, his adnoids removed, a lung abscess drained and been hospitalized three times. We hope that age brings a stronger immune system and more health.

We thank God for all of our blessings and look forward to keeping everyone posted on each new chapter....
